Five Mechanical Failures Of Diesel Forklifts And Solutions
Mechanical failure of the diesel engine during operation may cause damage to the basic parts at least, or lead to mechanical accidents at the worst. Therefore, operators should quickly make accurate judgments based on the characteristics of the signs and take appropriate solutions to avoid accidents.
1. "Speed car" failure
Omen features: The speed suddenly rises and becomes faster and faster, without being controlled by the throttle, the sound is abnormal and harsh, and a large amount of blue or black smoke comes out of the exhaust pipe.
Solutions: First, turn off the accelerator to stop the fuel supply and apply the brake; second, block the intake pipe and cut off the entry of air; third, quickly loosen the high-pressure oil pipe to stop the fuel supply; fourth, use high-end heavy-duty ( braking), causing the engine to stall due to insufficient torque.
2. Cylinder sticking failure
Symptoms: reduced speed, weak operation, dull sound, and extremely high water temperature. If equipped with a water temperature meter, the indication exceeds 100°C.
Treatment measures: Idle for a period of time or turn off the engine and crank the crankshaft to assist cooling, so that the water temperature drops to about 40°C, and then slowly add cooling water. Be careful not to add cooling water immediately, otherwise the parts may be deformed or cracked due to a sudden sudden drop in local temperature.
3. Cylinder failure
Premonitory characteristics: There is a "clicking" sound in the crankcase, and the oil pressure drops, which is more obvious during rapid acceleration.
Disposal measures: Immediately shut down the machine for maintenance and replace with new parts.
4. Burning tile failure
Omen characteristics: the sound is muffled, as if the load suddenly increases and the speed drops, the oil pressure drops, and black smoke comes out of the exhaust.
Disposal measures: Stop the machine immediately, remove the cover and inspect the connecting rod and bearing bush, find out the cause, and repair and replace it.
5. Broken shaft failure
Symptoms: There is a dull knocking sound in the crankcase. When the throttle is increased, the knocking sound becomes louder. The parts shake seriously when idling, and black smoke comes out of the exhaust.
Disposal measures: Stop the machine immediately for inspection if signs are found, and replace the crankshaft promptly if cracks are found.
